πWhat is Transaction History?
Transaction history is a complete record of all transactions associated with your TRON wallet address. It includes both incoming and outgoing transactions, showing every time you've sent or received TRX, USDT TRC20, or any other TRC20 token.
Your transaction history is stored on the TRON blockchain β it's public, permanent, and cannot be altered. Anyone can view the transaction history of any TRON address using a blockchain explorer like TronScan.
Transaction history is public β anyone can see transactions linked to your wallet address. However, your identity is not directly tied to the address unless you voluntarily share it. This is why TRON and other blockchains are described as pseudonymous.
π±Viewing Transaction History in Your Wallet
Most TRON wallets provide a simple way to view your transaction history:
- TronLink: Open the wallet, click on the "Transaction" tab or the clock icon to see your recent transactions. You can tap on any transaction for more details.
- Trust Wallet: Open the wallet, tap on "History" or the transaction icon. All your TRX and token transactions are listed here.
- TokenPocket: Transaction history is available under the "History" tab in the wallet section.
- Ledger Live: For Ledger users, transaction history for TRON is displayed in the TRON account section.
- SafePal: Transaction history is available in the SafePal App under the TRON wallet.
If a transaction doesn't appear in your wallet, it may not have been broadcast or confirmed yet. Check TronScan with your wallet address for the most up-to-date and complete transaction history.
πUsing TronScan for Detailed Transaction History
TronScan.org is the official blockchain explorer for the TRON network. It provides the most complete and detailed view of your transaction history.
-
1
Go to TronScan.org
Open your browser and navigate to tronscan.org.
-
2
Enter your wallet address
Paste your TRON wallet address (starts with "T") into the search bar at the top of the page.
-
3
View the transaction list
Your address overview page shows your balance, token holdings, and a complete list of all transactions. You can filter by transaction type (TRX, TRC20, TRC10).
-

Click on a transaction for details
Click on any transaction hash (TXID) to see detailed information including block number, timestamp, fee, and more.
TronScan also shows internal transactions (contract interactions), token transfers (USDT TRC20, etc.), and contract deployments. It's the most powerful tool for analyzing your wallet activity.
πUnderstanding Transaction Details
When you view a transaction on TronScan or in your wallet, here's what each field means:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Transaction Hash (TXID) | A unique identifier for the transaction. You can share this with others to prove a transaction occurred. |
| Block Number | The block number in which this transaction was included. Higher block numbers mean newer transactions. |
| Timestamp | The date and time the transaction was confirmed on the blockchain. |
| From (Sender) | The wallet address that sent the funds. |
| To (Receiver) | The wallet address that received the funds. |
| Amount | The amount of TRX or tokens transferred. |
| Token Type | Indicates whether it's TRX, a TRC20 token (like USDT), or a TRC10 token. |
| Fee (Energy/TRX Burned) | The cost of the transaction. May show Energy consumed or TRX burned. |
| Status | Success, Pending, or Failed. |
| Memo | Optional text note included with the transaction (required by some exchanges). |
β Transaction Statuses
TRON transactions can have these statuses:
The transaction has been confirmed and included in a block. The funds have been transferred successfully.
The transaction has been broadcast but not yet confirmed. This usually resolves quickly (a few seconds on TRON).
The transaction was not successful. This can happen due to insufficient TRX for fees, smart contract errors, or network issues.
The transaction was rejected by the network. This can occur with invalid signatures, incorrect data, or if the transaction expired.
TRON transactions typically confirm within 1-3 seconds. If your transaction is pending for more than a minute, check TronScan. If it's not showing there, the transaction may not have been properly broadcast.
π§Common Transaction History Issues
- Transaction not showing in wallet: Try refreshing the wallet or clearing the cache. Check TronScan to confirm the transaction exists. If it's confirmed on TronScan but not in your wallet, the wallet may need to sync.
- Missing USDT TRC20 transfer: Make sure you have added the USDT TRC20 token to your wallet. If the token isn't added, the transfer won't show. Add the token using the contract address.
- Wrong amount displayed: Some tokens have different decimals (USDT has 6, while others have 18). Make sure the wallet displays the correct decimal places.
- Pending transaction for too long: This is rare on TRON. If it happens, the transaction may have been dropped. Check TronScan β if it's not there, the transaction didn't go through and you can try again.
- Failed transaction: Check the reason on TronScan. Common causes include insufficient Energy/TRX for fees, contract errors, or trying to send more than you have.
Once a TRON transaction is confirmed, it cannot be reversed or canceled. Always double-check the recipient address and amount before confirming. If you send funds to the wrong address, they are likely gone forever.
π€Exporting Transaction History
You may need to export your transaction history for accounting, tax purposes, or record-keeping:
- TronScan export: On TronScan, after searching your address, click the "Export" button to download your transaction history as a CSV file. This is the most comprehensive option.
- Wallet apps: Some wallet apps allow you to export transaction history. Check the settings or menu options in your wallet.
- Tax tools: Many crypto tax software tools (like Koinly, CoinTracker, etc.) can automatically import your TRON transaction history by entering your wallet address.
- Manual tracking: For record-keeping, you can copy transaction details from TronScan into a spreadsheet.
Many tax authorities require a complete record of all crypto transactions. Use TronScan's CSV export to get a comprehensive list of all your TRX and USDT TRC20 transactions.
π‘οΈSecurity Considerations
- Transaction history is public: Anyone can view the transaction history of any TRON address on TronScan. This is normal and part of how blockchain works.
- Privacy tip: If you want more privacy, consider using different wallet addresses for different purposes or using privacy-focused solutions.
- Monitor for unauthorized transactions: Regularly check your transaction history for any transactions you didn't make. If you see unauthorized activity, your wallet may be compromised.
- Don't share your private key: No one needs your private key to view your transaction history β they just need your public address. Sharing your private key gives someone full control over your wallet.
Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone. Anyone with this information can access your wallet and view your transaction history β and more importantly, transfer your funds. Protect your keys at all costs.
